Cremation is one of the services we offer at Themeli Funeral Directors, in Rhodes.
In Greece, following the example of other countries in the European Union, cremations have been allowed since 2006, and the relevant legislation has been passed.
At Themeli Funeral Directors we firmly believe that funeral arrangements are an entirely personal matter, and we fully respect your wishes. We will be there to support you, whatever choice you make, and we can organise your loved one’s cremation.
Having considerable experience in this area, and highly-trained staff, we can arrange for the body to be transferred to the Hellenic Crematorium, in Ritsona, Evia. We can also handle all the necessary operational and bureaucratic procedures required by legislation for the cremation to go ahead.
After the cremation, our office delivers the urn to the deceased’s relatives, along with the necessary documents.
A basic condition for cremation to go ahead is that the deceased must have expressly declared their wish to be cremated, or, if appropriate, the relatives must have given this declaration.
